The Tailfinda Story...
As a dog owner myself to Flash, I became acutely aware of how awful it would feel to lose him and how surprising it was that there wasn’t a better solution for tagging your pet.
Engraved dog tags go back to the early 1900’s and can be difficult to read, they have a lack of information and, god forbid, the worst happens and you’ve forgotten to get a new tag with your new phone number. It also requires the person who finds your precious dog to get their face pretty close to an unknown animal in order to read it, which can put people off helping.
Microchips can be a legal requirement but can only be read with an expensive reader, normally by a Vet. I had this fear of losing Flash and knew there had to be a better solution to the old engraved pet tags....

But Why a Digital Pet Tag?
At the time that Flash, my new Cocker Spaniel puppy, came into my life I was developing a concept for a digital business card, and whilst falling in love with him I decided there was actually a much better use for this digital technology.
This is where the idea for Tailfinda was born. I wanted to make sure that if for any reason I did lose him, the person that found him would quickly be able to contact me and get him back home into my arms.
It was so important to me that the Tailfinda would be so easy to use and would work on any modern phone without the need for an App. It had to give me the best possible solution to get him back easily.
By using the Tailfinda, amount other things my favourite part is that it can send me their exact location at the touch of a button, it also means I would be able to get to them wherever they may be, even if that was in the depths of a forest or a remote location.
